引导宾语从句的从属连词简称为引导词，与宾语从句的语序、时态合称为宾语从句的三要素。考查时，常三者结合考查。
宾语从句的引导词根据来源可分为以下三种情况：
(1) 从属连词that引导的宾语从句
由陈述句转化来的宾语从句通常添加引导词that。that无意义，不翻译，只起连接作用，也不在宾语从句中充当任何成分，可省略。例句：He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.
