Dear Jim,
I am very glad to have received your letter, in which you want to know how I spent my winter vacation this year. Here is all about it.
As you know, our winter vacation is normally a great time for the Spring Festival, during which time, we will visit friends and relatives besides finishing our homework. However, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we had an extended and special vacation this year. To fight the epidemic, some cities and even some villages were locked down. We were asked to observe home quarantine to avoid being infected. I stayed at home all day long, sleeping, watching TV, checking news on the phone, WeChatting and doing some physical exercise. Later on,we had our online class on Dingtalk to keep up with our studying tasks.
Thanks to the timely measures taken by the government, the epidemic is now gone and we are happily back at school. This vacation is sure to stay in our mind all our lives.
