When a new workday begins, what's the biggest problem before going to work? Traffic jams! As it always gets in the way of us, Dubai's Road and Transportation Authority (RTA) stands out, which has already announced for the Kuwait Times that it tested a new vehicle which has the ability to carry passengers over a distance, and it succeeded. This means we can finally escape from the city's horrible traffic jams. It is said that the RTA wants to put it into market by this mid-year.
The Chinese company Ehang produced a particular model called Ehang 184 which can travel 62 miles an hour at a height of 984 feet. This is going to be the first batch that come into the market. The electric motor powers its eight propellers (螺旋桨) to work for 30 minutes and it only takes 2 hours to recharge. In a certain way, this is going to be a new age of transportation.
Steve Adams, one of its producers, holds the view that this kind of new vehicle may probably start a new way of life. He thinks it possible that someday all of us human will take the "self-flying taxi" to other places instead of taking cars with convenience, and he believes that "traffic jams" will disappear forever.
When referring to its safety, according to its inventor's words, there is nothing to worry about. He says everything is controlled and monitored by ground control so it will land at the nearest safe location automatically even with a slightest problem. And it's fully made of titanium which means it is strong enough to face the high speed wind and bad weather. Its system was highly protected, a latest fire wall technology was also concluded. Thus, Ehang 184 will come with a complete safety network to keep away from hackers.
